A team of footballers from Wilmslow High School rounded off a fantastic season by lifting an historic treble.
The Year 8 footballers won the prestigious Shrewsbury School Football Tournament following eight tough matches against schools from across the country at the week-long residency in Shrewsbury.
Prior to this the boys secured the Macclesfield and District Schools Cup with a 4-1 win against Fallibroome School and the Cheshire Cup with a 2-0 win over Weaverham School in a hard fought final in Chester.
The boys have had an unprecedented season, scoring 159 goals in 30 matches and building on last season's outstanding achievement of reaching the last four of a national cup, the furthest a school junior side has progressed in the ESFA Cup.
Team Coach Simon Mawer said "This has been another magnificent season for the U13's and they have shown huge devotion and dedication. This originates from a positive attitude and a committed approach to everything from additional training sessions to important cup matches.
"They have worked extremely hard and should be immensely proud and satisfied with their success."
