Families are invited to join Incredible Edible Wilmslow for an hour long welly walk this week.
The walkers will take a circular route and there will be a quiz for families to complete on the way round.
At the end of the walk families can choose to donate a seedling to be planted in the town centre community plots, where the children can watch their crops grow and show their friends what they planted.
Event organiser, Cath I'Anson said, "The children had great fun at last year's walk, it's a really nice way for them to be involved with the growing that's going on in town."
This year's walk begins at Ned Yates at 11am on Sunday 6th May, walkers are welcome to leave vehicles in their overflow car park for the duration of the walk.
From 2pm volunteers will meet at the community plots to plant out the seedlings from the walk with the children.
Helen Yates said "Incredible Edible are keen to encourage more volunteers to help around town and really get Wilmslow centre looking great especially with this year's entry into RHS In Bloom. It's also an opportunity for people to share a few growing skills and learn how to feed ourselves with local, seasonal food."
To join them as a volunteer, go to Wilmslow library at 2pm on the first Sunday of every month.
