Royal Photographic Society success for local photographers

rps

Exam season may not be everyone’s favourite time of year - but members of the Lindow Photographic Group recently embraced the opportunity to have their creative work scrutinised by The Royal Photographic Society (RPS).

Founded in 1853, The Royal Photographic Society’s mission is 'to promote the Art and Science of Photography' and the Distinctions that the RPS awards are recognised as measures of achievement throughout the world.

Members of the Lindow Photographic Group, the  'Lindow 10', have been meeting weekly to work on personal portfolios under the mentorship of professional photographer Richard Weston. Having gained their Licentiateship earlier this year, Julie Laot, Tony Ioannides, Margi Lawrence and Colin Caygill have been celebrating the most recent successes of fellow members Mike McCusker, who was praised for his “excellent submission” and Vijaya Najaran who submitted a "delicate portfolio that showed who the photographer really was".

For examples of their work and further information visit the Lindow Photographic Group website.
