Aromotherapist plans charity pamper night

A local mum and business owner is arranging a Ladies Pamper Night to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Lisa Johnson is arranging the pamper night because a dear friend of hers was diagnosed with MND in October last year.

She said "I can't put into words how I felt when I heard this, disbelief, utter shock. It's a cliche, but when you hear this kind of news about someone you love, you always think, why did it happen to this person, of all people, who is so good and kind and amazing. But this is life. It happens.

"I feel very passionately about raising not only funds, but awareness of this dreadful disease, five people every day die of Motor Neuron Disease, it is fatal with no known cure and kills half of those diagnosed within 14 months. This disease seriously needs more funding."

100% of the £15 ticket price will go to the MNDA association and in return you will receive a glass of something bubbly on arrival, a 10-minute beauty treat, such as mini manicure or mini massage, and a goody bag packed with offers and treats from local businesses.

The Ladies Pamper Night will take place at The Slug & Lettuce on Wednesday 16th May. If you are interested in going along then email Lisa or call her on 07990 598238. Tickets are available to buy online via justgiving.
