Tattoo parlour brings top artists to town

A new tattoo parlour has opened in town bringing over 50 years experience and some of the best resident tattoo artists to Wilmslow.

Cheshire Ink on Hawthorn Lane is run by Rob Burton and his business partner Neil Haddock, who both live locally.

Rob told wilmslow.co.uk "We decided to open up in the centre of Wilmslow because we wanted to break away from the traditional stereotype of a backstreet tattoo shop.

"Public perception of body art has changed over the last few years and tattoos have certainly become more mainstream - so when we decided to open a tattoo studio, one of our main aims was to ensure that anybody would feel comfortable enough to walk in and have a consultation even if they have never been inside a tattoo studio before."

Rob added "We feel that the design of the studio and quality of our resident tattoo artists will fit in very well with the surrounding area and attract new types of clients in addition to the hardcore tattoo enthusiasts. We already have an exciting line up of artists who will be working as guest-spots in the shop over the next few months.

"We are currently filming part of a reality/documentry show for television so we have also lined up various famous DJ's who will be playing to customers each Thursday - this will link into the TV show which is centred around art, music and lifestyle."

It's worth me mentioning about another new tattooist that has just opened on the outskirt of Wilmslow in Handforth called Sharp Art Studios. They have both male and female artists who can provide full privacy should it be required! or you can see Nick and Lauren or http://www.handforthtattoo.co.uk.
