An election is likely to be held to fill a vacancy at Wilmslow Town Council for the Wilmslow East Ward of the town.
The vacancy arose following the resignation of Matthew Hodgson in January, due to him being unable to dedicate the time to the role.
Ten voters in Wilmslow East Ward have subsequently requested an election so Cheshire East Council are now inviting nominations for candidates.
If more than one candidate is nominated then an election will be held on Thursday 12th April between 7am and 10pm.
Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Elections Office, Westfields, Middlewich Road, Sandbach, Cheshire, CW11 IHZ no later than noon on Wednesday 14th March.
