A derelict house which has been unoccupied for a considerable time may face a brighter future.

The eyesore on Foden Walk, Colshaw Farm is in a very poor state of repair and has been vandalised on numerous occasions.

Cheshire East Council has arranged a series of clean ups but the property continues to have a detrimental impact on the estate.

Richard Christopherson, LAP Manager for Wilmslow, confirmed that the owner of the property has been identified, it will be going up for auction shortly and Riverside Housing are considering purchasing the property.

He said "Riverside have made approaches to purchase and I am awaiting confirmation of their offer."

A spokesperson from Riverside Housing commented "If we purchase this property, it will be our intention to fully refurbish it and bring it into our management."
