Wilmslow will host its first artisan market this Saturday, 23rd July, with nearly 60 stalls on Grove Street - making it one of the largest of its kind in Cheshire.
A broad range of products will be available from mushrooms and pies to jewellery and gifts, with acoustic guitar performances and workshops enabling all the family to get involved.
Vicky Jackson and Denise Valente, your market ladies, have scoured the length and breadth of Cheshire to discover the very best and bring it to Wilmslow. Every trader is passionate about their products, many being award winning, and all are eager to share their vast knowledge and infectious expertise with the shoppers and browsers.
Vicky explained "Just one of our more unique traders is Katie Murray, a local Wilmslow resident who loves pate, and just one sample of her signature handmade delights and you will understand exactly why.
"The idea behind 'Katie's Proper Pate' was conceived many years ago, when Katie realised she was unable to find a shop bought pate that tasted as good as the one she made at home."
"Another trader, sure to be firm favourite of the home chef's amongst you, will be Chris Andrews, of Strawberry Sundae, the artisan markets fruit and veg specialist, who is certain to leave you inspired to increase your creativity in the kitchen.
"As well as selling local seasonal fruit and vegetables, he stocks more unusual, lesser known varieties, such as purple carrots, French purple vitalotte potatoes, black tomatoes and Gordon Ramsey's favourite Violet Garlic, exquisite delicacies you won't find in your local supermarket."
Denise added "Katie and Chris are just two of many incredible, talented, entrepreneurial traders who will be part of this first market and all future markets which will be held every month, on the next to last Saturday."
The artisan market will be held from 10am until 4pm on Grove Street. Dates for future markets can be found in our events calendar.
