This year at Harvest time Wilmslow Churches Together are collecting money for a charity based in Colombia which helps care for and campaign for children who live on the streets of the country's second largest city, Medallin.

On Saturday 2nd October a fun Treasure Discovery Trail will be held around Wilmslow in aid of 'Let The Children Live' which aims both to safeguard the lives of children from the violence and poverty of the streets, and to give them love, education and a future.

Reverend Magdalen Smith, Associate Priest at Wilmslow Church of England parish, said "Starting from the URC church on Chapel Lane or from 15 Parkway, the Anglican Rectory, people can collect their treasure hunts and follow the trail, spotting clues for younger children and finding letters for the mystery words for the older ones.

"The route is approximately a mile and a half and facts about how life is lived for these street children will also be discovered by doing the trail."

Coffee and donuts will be served at the Rectory between 10.30 and 12.30. There are no prizes as such but there will be a small bag of sweets for participating children which can be collected from the Anglican Rectory at 15 Parkway.

Treasure Hunts can be collected from URC church on Chapel Lane or from 15 Parkway between 10.00 am and 12.00 noon. Entrance is £5.00 per family and £2.00 for individuals.
