Robbery at Ladbrokes in Handforth

Detectives in Wilmslow are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at a local Bookmakers.

At about 8.50 pm on Saturday 4th September 2010, two men entered Ladbrokes on Wilmslow Road in Handforth. Both had their faces covered, and one was armed with a sword, the other with a knife.

The member of staff was told to get into the disabled toilet, and were guarded whilst the other offender jumped over the counter and stole cash from the till and safe. Whilst doing this he made threats with the knife towards the store manager.

The first offender was a white male, about 5'10" tall, of skinny build, dressed all in black, with his face covered.

The second offender was again white, about 5'9" tall, of average build, and was again dressed all in black with his face covered.
