Luxury fragrance brand Jo Malone London opened its doors in Wilmslow on the 2nd November.

The new store, located on Water Lane, is part of Orbit Developments' commercial portfolio and marks the brand's first standalone store in the Greater Manchester area, outside concession spaces in retailers such as Selfridges, John Lewis and Manchester Airport.

Founded in 1990, with the first store opening in 1994 in London, the brand has since been known for its signature colognes, bath oils and home accessories and is an icon of British luxury. After being purchased by Estee Lauder in 1999, the name has grown into a globally recognised brand with stores around the world offering the full range of luxury products.

Wilmslow, known for its affluent clientele is the ideal location, making this opening a welcome addition for locals and visitors.

Mark Hanna leasing surveyor at Orbit Developments said "We're delighted Jo Malone London has chosen Wilmslow for their new store. It's fantastic to see another luxury brand coming to the area and we expect it will prove hugely popular with shoppers, especially with the opening just before the festive period."

Rachel Baker, Vice President General Manager from Jo Malone London said "We are pleased to announce the opening of our new Jo Malone London store in Wilmslow. This charming town, situated in the heart of Cheshire, offers the perfect location for Jo Malone London with its blend of modern sophistication and rich heritage. Wilmslow's natural surroundings and timeless elegance mirror the British craftsmanship and luxury that Jo Malone London embodies. We believe that the town's character, with its historic appeal and contemporary flair, beautifully complements our brand philosophy"

The arrival of Jo Malone London signals a positive momentum for the town's retail offering. With Christmas just around the corner shoppers can now explore exclusive festive collections and signature scents right in the heart of town.
