Arrangements have been confirmed for this year's Remembrance Sunday in both Wilmslow and Handforth.
In Wilmslow a Remembrance Sunday Parade will depart from Grove Avenue on 10th November at 9.30am prompt (participants to arrive by 9.15am).
The parade, under the control of Parade Marshal Andy Barrows (Air Cadets), will depart from Grove Avenue and pass down Grove Street before crossing the junction and moving down Church Street (passing Waitrose) and arriving at St Bartholomew's Church.
All are invited in to St Bartholomew's Church for the 10am service.
At around 10.45am, the congregation will make their way to the Memorial Gardens where the traditional 11am Remembrance Service will be held, followed by the laying of wreaths and crosses.
There will not be a second parade following the 11am Memorial Garden service.
Wilmslow's Remembrance Sunday is organised by Wilmslow Town Council in conjunction with St Bartholomew's Church.
Wilmslow Town Council has purchased a further 100 lamp post poppies to support the Royal British Legion and extend the town centre's Remembrance display this year.
Handforth's Remembrance Sunday will depart from Handforth Youth Centre on 10th November at 10.20am prompt (participants to arrive by 10.00am).
The parade, under the control of Parade Marshal Sgt Jason Hornby (Army Cadets - Wilmslow Detachment), will depart from Handforth Youth Centre and pass down Station Road before turning on to Wilmslow Road and arriving at St Chad's Church. All are invited in to St Chad's Church for the 10:30am wreath laying.
At around 10.40am, the parade will re-form and make their way to the Handforth War Memorial where the traditional 11am Remembrance Service will be held, followed by the laying of wreaths and crosses.
The second parade following the 11am Memorial War Memorial service will form up at 11:20am and return to Handforth Youth Centre.
Handforth's Remembrance Sunday is organised by Handforth Town Council in conjunction with St Chad's Church.
