At around 9.40am on Thursday 26 September officers stopped a white Renault traffic van at Handforth Dean.
During a search of the van officers discovered a large quantity of cosmetic goods in the rear of the vehicle which are believed to be stolen.
The driver of the van was arrested at the scene and taken to police custody.
A police spokesperson said "Jonathan Ward, 27, of Dutch Road, Salford, has since been charged with handling stolen goods and going equipped for theft.
"He has been released on bail and is set to appear at Crewe Magistrates Court on Tuesday 22 October 2024."
