Entries now open for this iconic event, which last year celebrated its 40th anniversary.
The Wilmslow Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 with the race starting at the earlier time of 9.30am to help ensure that any road closures cause the minimum of inconvenience.
This ever popular and prestigious race has regularly been voted one of the top road races in the UK by readers of "Runner's World" magazine. Again this will be followed by the Asics 10k race and a Fun Run.
Race Director Nick Bishop said "As always, we are delighted to welcome back our regular runners and equally excited to welcome everyone new to the race. The newer 10k distance being a great way to step up for the parkrun community. Pacers for a variety of time bands will be running. Something for everyone. We want to embrace the community and celebrate all things Wilmslow!"
The chosen charity this year is Wilmslow based Bare Necessities.
Nick added "Bare Necessities is delighted to be partnering with the Wilmslow Running Festival as its charity partner. Being able to extend their conversation around hygiene poverty to our community of runners is extremely positive for a grassroots charity."
Over the years charity partners has raised more than a million pounds.
