Kimble Roden Architects & Designers - local Alderley Edge based architect and interior design practice - are thrilled to share the exciting news that their Cheshire Annex Apartment project has been shortlisted for a highly prestigious SBID award.
This award is presented by The Society of British & International Interior Design (SBID) - the leading professional accrediting organisation in the field of interior design. This
achievement highlights the outstanding work of the practice and the exceptional design work they put into this project.
"Our small practice is incredibly honoured to be shortlisted. It's great to be recognised for all the hard work we put into this scheme – we love what we do and awards like these are always lovely to receive." Edwina Kimble – Practice Director
The project was built by Lyme Design & Build as main contractors with input from Jan Dickov Interiors for the furniture and accessories, bespoke joinery by Jade Shopfitting Joinery and the kitchen by Siematic through Art House Interiors, also based in Alderley Edge.
The Project – Cheshire Annex
Kimble Roden Architects & Designers were appointed as architects and interior designers to transform this loft space above a garage, into a self-contained apartment. Working within the constraints of a roof space, their challenge was to provide a sleeping area, kitchen, dining space, living space, bathroom and dressing area as well as access to an external balcony – everything required for a young couple to work, live and entertain. The resulting space is both functional and beautiful and creates a stunning annex space for the users whilst responding to the sophisticated palette of the main house.
The Public Vote totals 10% of the overall score – the help of our local community would be very much appreciated!
Voting closes 11th September.
