Scarecrows have begun to spring up around town for this year's Wilmslow Scarecrow Festival.
So far there are 14 weird and wonderful creations which can be found hanging out on the streets, at Wilmslow Memorial Gardens, the library, the leisure centre and station.
Organisers Wilmslow and District Rotary have decided to extend the Festival for another week finishing on 13th July to enable more businesses, organisers and members of the public to take part.
Rotary Secretary, Ian Bradley, said "There are a few more scarecrows being made and will be displayed around the town. Please do look out for them or make your own. This is open to everyone who wishes to take part."
Entry forms can be found online or by contacting [email protected]. There is no fee for entering a scarecrow (aside from your time and materials!) although entrants can raise some money for charity if they want by encouraging people to support/sponsor their scarecrow.
