Plans have been submitted for the change of use of premises to enable a new Italian restaurant to open in Wilmslow in town centre.

Individual Restaurants, owners of the Piccolino chain and the former Bar & Grill in Alderley Edge, are in the process of purchasing the property at 4-12 Swan Street with the intention of converting it into a Piccolino restaurant.

The company do not propose to make any external changes to the vacant building, previously occupied by the Brewhouse & Kitchen, and says it plans to invest £1.5million in the property and create 40 jobs which will be a mixture of full-time and part-time.

Individual Restaurants intend to have the restaurant open and trading by Christmas.

The plans can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council planning portal by searching for planning reference 23/2454M.

Oh dear! If the service and food offered in their previous restaurants will ensure we stay well away.

Cibo is so much better in all respects over this newcomer's form in Alderley based on my previous unfortunate experience. ..
