2023 Election Results: Another clean sweep for Residents of Wilmslow

Residents of Wilmslow (RoW) have taken every seats on Wilmslow Town Council.

Prior to the election the council comprised of 10 Conservatives, 4 RoW and 1 Liberal Democrat but now all 15 seats will be occupied by RoW members.

The results of the May 4th elections were:

Jon Newell - Residents of Wilmslow - 979 votes Yes
Angela Smethurst - Local Conservatives - 501 votes

Turnout = 28.89%
Rejected ballots = 10

Excellent news.
It's especially rewarding to see that not too many people were hoodwinked by the "Local Conservative" party description, and that the results in favour of RoW weren't even that close.

I personally would like to offer my thanks all the Wilmslow voters who have put their trust in t Residents of Wilmslow (RoW) candidates.It has taken us about 10 to 11 years to achieve winning all Wilmslow's seats. As the founder of RoW I trust all our elected councilors will give their voters of the town and Borough what they wish them to be and to place Wilmslow,both on Cheshire East and Wilmslow Town councils at the forefront of the decision making.
We've listened to all your many varied concerns, from pot-holed roads, to cycle paths,to car parking etc and hope to give you the satisfaction you desire but could not obtain from other sources.Our councilors will deliver by our maxim, long neglected by others, doing What is Good for Wilmslow,
