Plans to replace former hotel with houses approved

Revised plans to demolish a vacant public house in Handforth and replace it with houses have been approved.

Red Oak Taverns have been granted planning permission to develop 7 houses with 3 bedrooms each on Delamere Road.

The 0.18 hectare site is currently occupied by the former Mermaid Hotel, which has been derelict for many years, and a car park containing 30 spaces.

The scheme includes the provision of 14 car parking spaces, two spaces for each dwelling, along with hard and soft landscaping.

This approved application from Red Oak Taverns Plans is a revision of previously submitted plans to replace the former Mermaid Hotel and with eight homes 3 bedroom houses.
