Vandals strike at St. Teresa’s Church

barrier

Police investigating damage on the car park of a town centre church in Wilmslow have asked anyone with information to contact them. The barrier arm to the car park at St. Teresa’s Church in Green Lane, was broken off in the early hours of Sunday (April 18th).

Constable Stuart Roberts, from Wilmslow Neighbourhood Policing Unit said, “Four or five young men were near the car park shortly before three o’clock in the morning. The yellow-coloured aluminium barrier at the car park entrance was lifted up and snapped off. The men then moved off towards Church Street, carrying the barrier for some distance.

“Disturbances and damage in the town centre are obviously a matter of concern. We want to identify the men involved and would welcome information from anyone who saw the group, or saw someone carrying a piece of metal piping."
