Handforth groups receive Queen's Platinum Jubilee Awards

Over the last few months Handforth Town Council has been running a Queen's Platinum Jubilee Award scheme.
They invited community and residents groups to apply for funding (up to a maximum of £500) towards holding a Queen's Platinum Jubilee party over the extended bank holiday in June.

Town Council Chairman, Cllr John Smith said "The scheme has been a roaring success and the Town council agreed at their June meeting to extend their allocated scheme budget to grant an award to one final late applicant.

"Overall we have given out £5,350.50 to various community and residents group in Handforth."

Beneficiaries of the scheme include:

Handforth Junior/Senior/SEN Youth Club and Friends of Stanley Hall Park – Joint event.

Friends of Handforth Station

St. Benedict's Primary School

1st Handforth Scouts

Mobility Access Group

Residents of Pickmere Rd

Gwyneth Morley Court Residents

Handforth Grange Primary School

Richmond Avenue Jubilee Team

Deanview Residents Association

Ferndale Residents

Hurlbote Close Residents

Residents of Southacre Drive
