Local theatre company to stage Musicals Go Pop

Following a tough couple of years, when they have been unable to perform due to covid, Alderley and Wilmslow Musical Theatre Company are celebrating jukebox musicals, bringing Musicals Go Pop to the Evans Theatre next month.

The cast, which is itching to get back on the stage again to perform the show which will be packed with favourite songs from artists whom have featured in musicals including Elton John, Queen, Billy Joel, Patsy Cline, Simon and Garfunkel, Britney Spears, ABBA and Tina Turner.

The show is directed by Bradley Snelling, and musical director Ian Jones. Emma Swain is the light-footed choreographer, and the cast is made up of all ages and backgrounds.

Bradley Snelling, Director said "This is going to be a fantastic show, we've worked so hard."

Musicals Go Pop will be performed at the Evans Theatre from 11th to 14th May. Tickets are £14, with a discount for groups of 10+. The curtain goes up at 7:30pm each night, and there's a cafe for refreshments, and a raffle.
