Repair Café returns to Wilmslow

Wilmslow's Repair Café, not dissimilar to the Repair Shop on TV, is back on Saturday 6th November at the United Reformed Church hall from 10am-1pm.

Organised by Transition Wilmslow, Repair Café offers repairs to electrical, wooden, clothing and jewellery items as well as fixing problems with bikes.

The event, run entirely by volunteers, helps people to play their part in climate action by making the things last longer and save money.

Ken Wallace, Repair Café organiser, "The pandemic meant that many of our planned events were cancelled so it's great to be back as part of Wilmslow's Festival of Nature. Many of us throw out items because there are limited options when it comes to fixing things. We might not have time, we don't know how to fix something or there is a lack of professional services available. If we could extend the life of more things, imagine the savings to be made and the impact on the planet."

To attend the event, email [email protected] with your item needing repair. This ensures we have the right expertise available on the day.
