Diabetic foot checks.
When you have been diagnosed with Diabetes, it can be unsettling getting the right information, knowing what you can and cannot do. Ways you can help manage your blood sugar levels is eating healthily, regular exercise and achieving a healthy body weight. When was the last time you had a foot check? Here at Alderley Edge foot clinic, we can assess and monitor your foot health as this is one of the parts of your body that can be affected. We are offering a specific appointments to check your vascular circulation by listening to your arterial system through a doppler and testing your sensory sensation using specialist equipment. These assessments will be carried out by our very own vascular Podiatrist Iulia Rusu who also works within the NHS. Iulia is here on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays. Just ask for a diabetic foot check appointment and our reception staff will book you in.
Mask wearing
From 19th July social distancing and face coverings will not be mandatory for the general public. As healthcare professionals we have reviewed our risk assessment and our governing body The Royal College of Podiatry and Public health of England requires Podiatrists to still wear PPE. Due to the current rate of transmission plus being in an enclosed space and proximity, we have been advised that face coverings will still be mandatory during your treatment unless you were previously exempt.
As restrictions are easing, we are now fully open, and all appointments are now available.
