A quantity of drugs were seized from a town centre car park this week during a routine patrol which was part of police efforts to reduce anti-social behaviour in the area.
Over the past few years anti-social behaviour has been an issue at Spring Street car park but the problem has got a lot worse recently. Hence regular patrols of the carpark are being completed.
Police Sergeant Lynsey Jackson "On the visit Thursday evening cannabis was located at the carpark and seized by an officer. It was located where youths typically hang out and had indeed left when the officer approached.
"Cannabis is something that is dangerous. We are asking parents to double-check where their children are in an evening and if they know exactly what they are up to!"
