Police are appealing for witnesses following reports of a robbery outside a Wilmslow bar in the early hours of Saturday, 2nd June.

Wilmslow officers were on patrol in the vicinity of Revolution bar on Alderley Road at approximately 3.15am when they were approached by a 22-year-old male who reported he had been the victim of a robbery.

Shane Owens, of Macclesfield CID, told wilmslow.co.uk "The victim states that he left Revolutions around 03:15 hours and turned left to walk down the narrow alleyway where most of the taxis wait. Whilst in the alleyway, he was approached from behind by 4 males, one of whom has placed him a headlock.

"He was threatened that he would be stabbed unless he handed over his Cartier watch which he did and the offenders then left the scene, possibly using a silver saloon vehicle."

The Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward. They should call Cheshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
