Cliff Road and Chancel Lane are closed from the junction with Styal Road to the junction with Mill Street.
The closure is necessary to enable Electricity North West to carry out cabling works which it is anticipated will completed around Monday 28th August.
The alternative route is via Styal Road, Manchester Road and Mill Street.
