Students at Wilmslow High School will be supporting the Seashell Trust in Cheadle next month when they stage their popular, annual, 6th Form Charity Fashion Show on Wednesday 2nd December 2009.

Wilmslow High School is a regular supporter of the Seashell Trust which
provides education and residential care for young people with complex
communication difficulties.

Students volunteer for the Seashell Trust on a regular basis, however this is the first time that the charity will benefit from proceeds from the popular fashion show thanks to a nomination from 6th Form students.

The event will showcase many of the exceptional pieces of exam work produced at both GCSE and A level and is expected to raise in the region of £3,000. As well as the fashion show there will be a raffle, a design and technology exhibition, mulled wine and mini festive desserts created by food technology students.

The Seashell Trust'’s coffers will be further boosted thanks to Karen Price from Barclays Bank selling tickets for the event, sales of which will be matched as part of the Barclays Matched Funding Scheme.

Helen Clayton, Fundraising Officer at the Seashell Trust said: “We enjoy a
close relationship with both Wilmslow High School and Barclays so are delighted that the school’s students chose us to benefit from their Charity
Fashion Show this year."

"To then be able to get match funding from Barclays is a real added bonus. We would like to say a big thank you to the school, to Karen and to the bank for their on-going support and we look forward to a fantastic evening.”

Tickets for the event cost £7.50 each (£5 concessions) and are available from Wilmslow High School Sixth Form reception.

This is an event not to be missed!! The clothes designed by the students are amazing. They also model clothes from Hoopers, Golfino and Expose. The whole show is choreographed brilliantly. What a wonderful way to raise money.
