A novel programme by the Leos String Quartet, a well-established group of musicians who have all graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music, will be performed at Wilmslow United Reformed Church on Thursday, 9th June.

The latest in a series of lunchtime concerts has a varied programme including Bach's Air on the G String, some Beatles favourites, the second movement of Bruch's Violin Concerto and the Flower Duet from Lakme by Delibes, which was recently recorded by Katherine Jenkins and familiar to BA passengers as their boarding theme.

The program also features Cheek to Cheek by Irving Berlin, that Fred Astaire sang to Ginger Rogers in the film 'Top Hat', and some Strauss waltzes.

The Church's Director of Music, Cliff Crewe, commented: "This is a delightful programme for all tastes, and they will even take requests from the audience on the day!"

Admission is £5, payable on the door, including coffee which will be served from 11.30 - noon. The concert will commence at 12noon and last an hour.
