
Three teenagers were assaulted whilst sitting on a bench in The Carrs.
Police were called to the park at 6.44pm Saturday, 14th May following reports of a disturbance involving group of youths.
Three teenagers were approached by a group of teenagers on bicycles.They were then assaulted with one teenager suffering facial injuries
One of the victims also had his mobile phone.
A police spokesperson said "Officers are following a number of lines of enquiry to find those responsible and are appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw the incident or who knows the identity of the offenders to contact police."

Having published this article I received an email from one of the teenagers involved in this incident.
He said "Unfortunately, I was one of those teenagers and my friend was the one who ended up with serious head injuries. He was left unconscious with trainer marks in the side of his head.
"Whilst I was able to escape with only minor bruising to the face, a broken lip and a swollen ear, my friend spent the night in hospital and has not come into school yet.
