The Dogfather: Do you have a problem dog?

I was running a Behaviour Clinic in Astbury Mere two years ago when I received a call from a distressed owner on her way to see me.

"Help me, my dog won't allow me to get him out of the car," came the distressed voice.

"I'm a bit tied up at the moment, "I replied as a large Akita stuck his paws on my chest.

"Quick please, he's getting very aggressive."

I freed myself from the Akita and sprinted across the car park to meet the angriest Labrador I'd ever seen growling at me from the rear seat of a family saloon. So began my relationship with Topaz.

Topaz was a totally unbalanced anti-social five-year old dog recently adopted from a recue centre by his now distraught owner. I was about to become the first Leader he ever acknowledged.

We had our ups and downs but slowly he shed his fear and aggression turning into one of the friendliest and kindest dogs we had in class.

That's him in the photo above with Ewan, his best buddy... and it all started with a 15-minute behaviour assessment.

On Sunday April 10 I will be at Morley Green Club Wilmslow with my Canine Behaviour Clinic from 10 am to 3pm.

If you have a dog with behaviour issues this is a good opportunity to bring him/her along. For a £10 donation to a local animal charity I will work directly with your dog to resolve any issues.

Just like my friend Topaz with the right guidance your dog may transform into the well-balanced companion you always wanted.

Text me on 07590-560012 for an appointment so you won't have to wait around or just turn up on the day and chat to my Training Team until I have a free slot.

Who knows Topaz may stop by to say hello?
