A local running club is holding a charity dinner to mark its 10th anniversary this year.

Styal Running Club is holding a number of celebrations but the main event will be a dinner to raise money for The Childrens Adventure Farm Trust, a South Manchester based charity working with underprivileged and disadvantaged children.

The dinner will take place on Saturday 16th April at Altrincham Football Club's Community Sports Hall. Tickets for the 3 course dinner and disco are £28 and can be obtained from Jon Clarke on 07710 424581.

Tony Collier said "Over the 10 years that the club is celebrating its members have taken part in races all over the world and have 4 members who have completed all 6 of the World Marathon Majors.

"However, the club remains small and friendly and caters for all standards of runners with a big focus on social activity and helping others, hence working with CAFT."
