Wilmslow Town Council has opened a book of condolence in memory of those killed in the recent Paris attacks which is available for people to sign at Wilmslow Library.

The idea to open a book of condolence was proposed by Cllr Martin Watkins, who stood in as acting Chairman, at the Town Council meeting on Monday, 16th November.

Town Clerk Matthew Jackson explained "The councillors felt that this was an appropriate course of action if a suitable venue could be found. The Library kindly offered to facilitate this arrangement and have made a space available for anyone wishing to contribute."

A most worthy and appropriate gesture, enabling Wilmslow's residents to let Paris and France know we are with you at this terrible time.
