The Wilmslow bypass will be closed at weekends in order for resurfacing works to be carried out at the Harden Park Roundabout. Night time weekend closures will commence on Friday October 23rd and will run every Friday and Saturday, from 8pm to 6am, up until November 21st.
Traffic will be diverted from the Wilmslow bypass via Wilmslow town centre. Traffic signals will be in place on the A34 Wilmslow Road/Alderley Road to control traffic movements.
Councillor David Brickhill, Portfolio Holder for Environmental Services, said: “Unfortunately, due to the nature of the works it is necessary to close sections of the road approaching Harden Park Roundabout over night and put diversions in place.
“We believe that overnight closures are the most efficient and least disruptive way of finishing the works but we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
