15-year-old victim of robbery on Lacey Green

A 15-year-old boy was robbed whilst walking home with his friends on Wednesday, 29th July.

The incident occurred at around 10.50pm near to the railway bridge on Lacey Green when two men ran up behind three teenagers who were walking home from the direction of the Twinnies Road shops.

Two of the youths managed to get away but the offenders grabbed a 15 year old and demanded his phone and money whilst threatening him. He co-operated with the men who then grabbed his ruck sack from his back before making off.

The offenders were wearing black balaclavas or face coverings, dark clothing and are both believed to be over 6 foot tall. The ruck sack is described as blue and black.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the attack, or who might have any information which would help them with the investigation, to call 101 quoting incident number 987 of 29/7/15.
