Wilmslow man charged with grievous bodily harm

A man from Wilmslow has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.

Cheshire Police were called to reports of an assault on Barlow Road at approximately 9.30pm on Sunday, 19 July.

Two men were arrested in relation to the incident, one has since been released without charge.

The second man, 31-year-old Benjamin John Pike, was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.

Pike, of Style View, Wilmslow, appeared at South and East Cheshire Magistrates on Tuesday, 21st July, where he was released on conditional bail.

He is due to appear at Chester Crown Court on 18th November 2015.

Following the incident the victim, a 25-year-old man from Wilmslow, was taken to Salford Royal Hospital where he is in a stable condition.
