Croftside Tennis Club has been granted planning permission for a new club house at their Meadow Way site.
Approval has been given for the demolition of the existing timber club house, which is considered unfit for purpose, and replacement with a new modular building.
The current club house lacks decent toilet and changing facilities, is inaccessible to disabled people and has inadequate kitchen facilities which means they are unable to provide refreshments. It is also subsiding which has caused the floor and roof to become uneven.
Croftside Tennis Club plans to hold an open day to invite local residents to view the proposals. The plans can also be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website by searching for planning reference 14/4442M.
