A 31 year old male became violent after being detained by security staff for shoplifting at the Summerfield Centre on Friday, 29th August.
Police attended and arrested the man and he has since been charged with two offences of shoplifting from Tesco and Lidl and with threatening behaviour.
He will appear in Macclesfield Magistrates Court on 24th September 2014.
