The West End musical Jesus Christ Superstar has been around for many years, but there is now a new dramatised version of Jesus' lifestory called 'Three Witnesses' that is coming to Wilmslow next week.

Produced by a professional theatre company called Saltmine, it is a fresh, dramatised re-telling of one of the biographies of Jesus. The one-off performance is taking place at Wilmslow High School on Wednesday 16th October and is supported by all the local churches.

Rev Simon Gales, of St John's Lindow said "It's not just for those who go to church. People have always been fascinated by the person of Jesus. This show gives a fresh perspective on why he was so engaging, yet stirred up such a strong reaction."

The performance starts at 8pm with a theatrically entertaining use of multimedia and live action, because of the strong content it is only suitable for 12- year-olds and above. Tickets are £7.50 (£5 under 18's) in advance from 01625 583251 or online at www.saint-johns.org.uk or £10 on the door.

When asked about the evening, Gareth Crispin, families minister at St John's, commented "This is such a powerful story. It has a lot to say to both teenagers and adults in today's world."
