Wilmslow Town Council has confirmed that this year's Christmas Lights switch-on will take place on the evening of Thursday 29th November.

The event will start with Santa and his reindeer parading through the town.

The plan is for them to set off from near Sainsbury's at approximately 6.15pm, proceed along the service road on Alderley Road. They will then cross over at the traffic lights and parade down Grove Street onto Green Lane where the reindeer will go into a penned area so children can take a closer look. Green Lane will be closed to traffic.

The stage will be in Bank Square and the Town Council are currently putting together a schedule of performers.

More information about the Christmas lights switch on will be available nearer the time.
