There's just a few days left to grab tickets to see popular wildlife TV presenter and cameraman Simon King OBE on his visit to Handforth this Friday (21 September).

The face of BBC 2's Springwatch live broadcasts and host of the ground-breaking Big Cat Diary, Simon joins Cheshire Wildlife Trust as part of their anniversary celebrations at the Hallmark Hotel at 7:30pm.

The Trust's 'Evening with Simon King' will include a talk, audience 'Q&A' and book signing from the self-styled 'wildlife whisperer'.

The event follows a packed sell-out visit to the North West by Springwatch co-host Chris Packham in March.

With more than 25 years in front of and behind the camera, Simon is an accomplished and award-winning filmmaker and photographer, having been behind some of the footage on a number of David Attenborough's 'Life' series produced by the BBC's acclaimed Natural History Unit.

In 2011, Simon King also became the Wildlife Trusts latest UK president, heading up the 800,000 member-strong conservation movement.

Dr. Janel Fone, chief executive of Cheshire Wildlife Trust said: "As a popular and passionate all-round naturalist, Simon is perfectly placed to inspire us in Cheshire during our own 50th anniversary celebrations, and we expect to have a packed room to enjoy all he has to share with us about his latest adventures and the challenges our wildlife faces today."

Tickets to see Simon King are priced at £15, plus booking fee, and are available through the Trust's website at www.cheshirewildlifetrust.org.uk or by calling 01948 820728. Doors open at 6:45pm.
