TV's Clare Nasir donned track suit and trainers at Total Fitness Wilmslow yesterday morning to drum up support for a week long children's charity challenge that aims to get people running for a grand total of 2012 minutes in the days leading up to the start of the Olympic Games.
Meteorologist Clare, who moved to Wilmslow earlier this year with her Radio 6 DJ husband Chris Hawkins and their daughter, is supporting 'Make Every Minute Count', a fundraising challenge organised by education recruitment specialists Premier Education.
The event is in aid of Manchester Children's Critical Care Fund, to help buy a mobile CT scanner for the Paediatric Critical Care Unit at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
'Make Every Minute Count' will see staff from Premier Education join friends, family and volunteers to take it in turns to run or walk on a treadmill for a combined time of 2012 minutes. Every minute will be sponsored with all monies donated to the charity.
Total Fitness Wilmslow is hosting the challenge and will be encouraging staff and members to donate their time on the treadmill to the appeal.
Clare said "As a Mum, I'm really happy to be supporting the challenge. I hope as many people as possible will sponsor the Premier Education team or choose to get on the treadmill and take part."

Group treadmill sessions are being staged every day until Friday, 27th July, at Total Fitness in Wilmslow. To take part visit www.premier-education.co.uk.
