Samba brings rhythm to Wilmslow town centre

A touch of Rio came to Wilmslow today as the Batala Drumming Band from Lancaster paraded through the town centre.

Families lined the streets to enjoy the atmosphere as the sounds of the very loud and entertaining samba band reverberated around the town.

The musicians made their way through the town as part of the third Wilmslow Scarecrow Festival, accompanied by two 12 ft scarecrows, Rotary Robin and Rosie, made by rotarians Geoff Shelmerdine and Bernard Davies.

Thank you Rotary for putting on such a great free show Wilmslow needs more.
It was also great to see all those scarecrows dotted about the town, the owners of the scarecrow should be proud. The band was the icing on the cake, I can't wait to see next years
