Fuse box fire at Manor Gardens

Firefighters were called to a property in Manor Gardens on Saturday, 7th January, where a fuse box had caught fire in the utility room.

Fire crews from Poynton and Macclesfield attended the incident at 6.12pm.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, used a water jet and dry powder to extinguish the fire, and a large fan was used to clear the smoke.

The fire crew then used a thermal imaging camera to check that the fire had not spread to other areas of the property.

Smoke detectors were fitted at the property but did not activate, so the fire crew conducted a home safety assessment at the property.
