Wilmslow Golf Club are celebrating as the junior team have won the prestigious Scratch Shield in the Derbyshire and Cheshire Juniors League for the first time ever.
The final saw Ed Maddocks, Charlotte Leathem, Tom Lewis, Harry Slade and Rob Hart from Wilmslow compete against the winners of the Derbyshire league.
Having initially won their league, which comprised of Bramall Park, Davenport Disley, Hazel Grove, Marple and Tytherington, they beat Macclesfield in the final which was played at Macclesfield on Friday September 2nd.
The combined handicap of the 5 players is only 19 and their best three gross scores in the total of eight matches they played came to 1853 - achieving an average gross score of 77.2 per player per round.
The following juniors also played in some of the earlier rounds for the team: Ben Stanier, Tom Lawton, Joe Healey, Will Allen, Richard Bilyard, Alasdair Brown, Hugo Church, George Hobson, George Slade and Jonny Williams.
