A group of friends from Morley Green are preparing to take part in the 2011 Screwball Rally.
They will set off from Morley Green Club on September 15th and spend 5 days driving an old car 2000 miles across Europe, passing through France, Germany, Czech Republic and Holland before finishing at Dover.
One of the few rules is that the team cannot spend more than £750 on the vehicle, including any modifications, so Nigel Woodall, Mike Hulme, Anthony Stone and Damien Craddock have purchased a not so new Volvo V40 estate.
Nigel Woodall told me "We wanted to do something different and raise money for The National Autistic Society which is a cause close to our heart because our team member Mike Hulme's son is autistic.
"We will support all the costs personally, including fuel, tolls, insurances and entrance fees, and we are aiming to raise £250 sponsorship for our chosen charity."
The team have already exceeded their target, having raised over £450 via JustGiving alone. You can sponsor Nigel, Mike, Anthony and Damien via there JustGiving page and help them raise more for the National Autistic Society.
