
Having started the week by announcing immediate cuts of £6.25 billion in public spending, The Chancellor of the Exchequer ended the week with a busy day in his constituency. On Friday, May 28th, George Osborne was in Wilmslow for a number of meetings which included a surgery in Wilmslow library and a visit to Wilmslow High School.
The Tatton MP met with the Headteacher Mrs Gill Bremner and a group of students for a round-table question and answer session. After which some of the students gave him a tour of the school.
George Osborne said "It was great to visit Wilmslow High School on Friday when I visited the constituency. The students asked a variety of interesting questions about the new governemnt and it was good to hear their views."
