The Green Room's centenary season continues with British farce, "The Murder Room" by Jack Sharkey.

The play, a spoof of all crime thrillers, concerns married couple Edgar and Mavis. Edgar discovers that Mavis is being unfaithful to him – and so to keep her lover Mavis decides to kill him!

After her first attempt to kill him by poison fails, Mavis resorts to shooting Edgar and then returning to her lover. But chaos and complications reign when it transpires that Edgar's body has vanished!

Director Charlie Cook said "The Murder Room" has all the twists and turns and misleading plots that you would expect to find in a murder mystery but the smart, quick, dialogue of the playright – means that murder has never been this funny!"

'The Murder Room' runs from 17 to 22 March with a matinee on 22nd March. Each performance starts at 7:45pm with the matinee at 2.30pm.

Tickets cost £10 for members, £12 full price.
