Alderley Edge School for Girls is proud to announce that it will be hosting 'The Knitted Bible', a captivating and innovative exhibition that brings biblical stories to life through the art of knitting and textile craft. This exciting exhibition will be available for schools to visit between 16th January 31st January 2025, offering a unique cultural experience for visitors of all ages.
The Knitted Bible is a travelling exhibition that has captured the imaginations of audiences across the UK. During its current tour, it will be showcased at various locations across the country, from East Lothian in the north to Kent in the south, and Norfolk in the east. Alderley Edge School for Girls is delighted to be one of the host venues for this one-of-a-kind exhibition.
The exhibition features beautifully crafted representations of iconic biblical stories, each scene intricately created through knitting and textile art. Visitors will experience a fresh and creative interpretation of timeless tales, including Noah's Ark, the Creation Story, and the Good Samaritan. These vibrant, visually stunning pieces offer an accessible way to engage with and reflect on key biblical themes.
