Share your views on local pharmacies

Cheshire East council is seeking the views of local residents about their pharmacies and how they use them.

Each Health and wellbeing Board has a statutory duty to produce a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) every 3 years. The Public Survey is an important element of this process to capture users' views and experiences of their local pharmacy.

A Council Spokesperson said "Please help us to make sure that your local pharmacy is providing the right services and support for you and your family by completing a short survey.

"A community pharmacy or chemist offers services such as dispensing medicines and offering advice and practical help on keeping healthy. It is often the first-place residents will turn to when they have a concern about their health or that of their family. It is for this reason that it is important we look at how well pharmacies are meeting these needs.

"We are asking everyone to get involved and respond to this important survey, to help us shape the future of these services."

To give us your views fill in the on-line questionnaire.

It should take about 15 minutes to complete and the deadline is 31st December 2024.

The survey, which is anonymous, was developed collaboratively between all the local authorities in Cheshire and Merseyside and is hosted by Liverpool City Council (LCC).

The Well pharmacy in the Wilmslow Health Centre fulfils a function but don't expect any "extra mile" type service. They even have a notice stating that prescriptions can take 5 days to prepare. So we switched allegiance to Hale Barns Pharmacy where we get virtually next day service without fail.
